TheElvin is back in town

i'm in this phase.. something like this peaceful day before a deadly storm... that kind you know.. before a tsunami.. the tides kinda recede... and for a moment you'd thought everything was peaceful....

so basically yea.. i'd think that kinda impending disaster's commin ... soon

and yes.. i know....i got stuck in limbo again... ever since my last ranting over a school mate's passing.

well basically i was in Shanghai till 17th August.... which was really annoying... especially the fact that my baggage limit's 20kg... my check-in itself was 31.

anyways.. the consolation is that i'm back in town... aint it?

And so CY visited from Beijing for a weekend. which was refreshing... especially during a time where having quarrels with my manager is as religious as taking flu tablets.

go figure

Anyways the weekend was spent escapading around Shanghai...

not to forget Gin & Tonic ...

And also this great place that serves Shanghainese...

1039 (ask any upperclass [i know.. its a wretched society]... they'd tell you 1039 is good.)

They call this "Heart Attack In A Bowl" ... which is basically Crab Roe and ..... you don't really want to know what it is.... just put it in your mouth now kinda stuff

Ohh.. the week i touched down... Here Singapore.

Yes i'm back in town.

PY brought me to 南翔.. the 1 at bugis...

Of course its really amazing...

they had this tofu roll... which tasted exactly the same...

but then again....

its not really the real thing.... isn't it?

Anyways... I were supposed to meet Dong for gym this morning...

somehow the gods did their thing........................

and the rain came...

which explained our gym session got somehow cancelled... but didn't stop us from checkin this cool place out... the 1 beside Purvis Street.

Its Called

"Food For Thought"

And its amazing so much thought was actually put into their menu... their food... both of us were utterly BLOWN away.

And Dong wanted me to enter into this covenant to keep this place a secret... just like some things.. the best be left to yourself and all by yourself... (sweet)

Dong said something about layers... like this sinful cup thingie...

Thought was actually put into it... that you could feel the layers... first the cold icecream... then the very dark very chocolatey brownie's warmth.. and then how the melted mashmellows sticks everything together..
